General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

There are new data protection laws which require us to review how we store your data. The intention is to give people more control over their personal data and be better protected in the digital age under new measures announced by the Government.

In order to comply with these new data protection laws we are required to inform you of how we use your data and request your signature as proof of doing so.

 

At Chatsworth Chiropractic all our our data storage is specifically in-house, either on our stand alone password protected computer or in our locked filing cabinets. Access is only for our receptionist and the professionals who treat you.

 

We do not use the internet, “clouds”, or any external storage systems. We do not give your data to anyone other than at your specific instruction and require your signature and explicit instruction to do so.

 

All files and information contained within and pertaining to those files are retained according to UK law and rules laid down by the General Chiropractic Council.

 

If you wish us to destroy your file after the legally stipulated time, please do so in writing.

We do not retain any financial information.
